Dental Crown Placement in Seattle, WA

At Evergreen Smile Studio, teeth suffering from damage and decay can be protected and restored with dental crowns. A dental crown can cover, or cap, a severely damaged tooth that can’t be treated with a filling. In addition, teeth that have been treated with root canal therapy can be sealed with a crown.

With dental crowns for restorative purposes, as well as smile makeovers and other cosmetic treatments, Evergreen Smile Studio is proud to offer top dental crown services in Seattle and beyond!

What Is a Dental Crown?

A dental crown, sometimes called a dental cap, is a custom-made restoration that completely covers and protects a damaged, weakened, or severely decayed tooth. It is designed to restore the tooth’s shape, size, strength, and appearance while allowing it to function normally. Each crown is carefully crafted to match the color and contour of your natural teeth for a seamless, natural-looking result.

At Evergreen Smile Studio, we offer:

  • All-Porcelain Crowns
  • All-Ceramic Crowns
  • Zirconia Crowns
  • BruxZir® Crowns

Is a Dental Crown the Right Choice for Me?

Most patients are good candidates for tooth crowns. We may recommend a dental crown to repair a broken or cracked tooth, or a damaged, loose crown or provide anchoring for dental bridges. It can also be used for cosmetic purposes like misshapen, discolored teeth or to seal a dental implant after a root canal.

Dr. Rebekah may recommend a dental crown to repair the following conditions:

  • Broken or cracked tooth
  • Damaged, loose crown
  • After root canal therapy
  • Dental bridges that need anchoring
  • Misshapen or discolored tooth (cosmetic purposes)
  • To seal a dental implant

How Does Dental Crown Placement Work?

Dr. Rebekah, your Seattle dentist, will begin by gently numbing the area to ensure you remain comfortable throughout the procedure. Once the tooth is fully numb, she will carefully remove any decay or damaged enamel and reshape the tooth to create a stable foundation for the crown.

After the tooth has been cleaned and prepared, impressions will be taken to ensure your crown fits precisely. This may be done using traditional dental putty and trays or a modern 3D digital scanner. These impressions are then used to custom-design your permanent crown so it matches the shape, size, and color of your natural teeth.

In most cases, a temporary crown is placed to protect your tooth while your final crown is being crafted. Once your permanent crown is ready, you’ll return to our office so it can be securely bonded into place, restoring both function and appearance.

How Much Do Dental Crowns Cost?

The total cost of your dental crown will depend on your dental insurance coverage, and the type of crown selected. At Evergreen Smile Studio, we provide a tooth crown cost breakdown before your procedure so that you can make an informed decision about your treatment plan.
